Hi there, today I am going to share my fav clay dough recipe. Although there are dozens of, no scratch that :), hundreds of hundreds play dough recipes out there, just search on google or pinterest and the results that come up just boggle my mind!
I tried a few and have come up with my own recipe, I have seen the ones that use jello but I dont want to further encourage my kids to eat the clay faster! I mean kids are different and u know your own best and my youngest of the twins would eat up anything besides food! :)
So without further ado, here's the recipes and then a step-by-step of how I did it!
1 - Mix all the above mentioned items
Enjoy and thanks for visiting!
2 - Mix it with a whisk, it has all eatable items so no worry of using regular utensils
3 - Put on medium heat, stir continuously as lumps will start to form and if not stirred it sticks at the bottom of the pan
4 - Now it gets a bit harder to stir as its getting hard and starting to stick together so use a cloth to hold and stir with all your might :)
5 - There comes a point when it all has stuck together like a ball, see in the picture, turn off heat.
6 - Spread a handful of flour onto the counter and empty out the clay onto it and let it cool a bit so that you can knead it without getting your hands burned.
7 - Meanwhile fill the used pot with water and add a table spoon of oil, any would do, I use coconut oil, its the same one that I put it the clay too, the oil will make it easier to rinse the pot.
8 - Then knead it, add flour if it sticks, here is my kiddo kneading the dough to her heart's content!
9 - And all done, now go show it off! :)
Enjoy and thanks for visiting!
